For those of you who wish to keep informed on scientific information, rather than relying on political slogans or radio talk-show hype, there will be an informative meeting conducted by Bill McKibben of 350.org on Monday, December 3rd at 7:00pm in the Olpin Union Building on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City.
350.org is a growing group of thousands of citizens who support climate scientists stating the atmosphere should contain no more than 350 parts per million of CO2. Current levels exceed 392. McKibben is on a whirlwind tour of the U.S. visiting nearly every major city to initiate a peaceful, grassroots campaign to address the problem. Thousands have met him at each city. Salt Lake was sold out immediately, but word came today that they are putting in more seats to allow for the expected overflow crowd. The meeting will be informative, and garnished with entertaining music as well. Go to: dothemath-slc.eventbrite.com/ for $5 tickets.
