Exploring the gospel principles of earth stewardship

Walking to Zion: Week 1

Walking to Zion

“Whenever I touch a velvet rose,
Or walk by a lilac tree,
I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heavenly Father created for me.”
(My Heavenly Father Loves Me, Children’s Songbook 228)

The lilacs are done for this spring, but new plants are sprouting and flowering every day. As you walk this week, look for these new signs of life and beauty, symbols of our Heavenly Father’s love for the earth and each of us here on it.

We need to collectively walk 128 miles each week to finish our 1,415 mile trek this summer. How much have you been able to walk this week?
