LDS Earth Stewardship’s
Annual Fall Meeting
6:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2013
Please join LDS Earth Stewardship for our annual fall meeting at Jane’s Home 1229 East South Temple Salt Lake City, UT 84103. (Jane’s Home is a Salt Lake City mansion generously made available for meetings of local organizations.) This is your chance to meet other LDS Earth Stewards and revel in their company.
Our guest speaker will be James Holtkamp, environmental attorney for more than 35 years, and partner at Holland and Hart, in Salt Lake City. Professor Holtkamp is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Utah where he teaches the Law of Air Pollution Control. He received his B.A. from Brigham Young University in 1972 and his J.D. from George Washington University in 1975. He also served a full-time mission to Central America, and currently presides over a Hispanic congregation in Salt Lake City. His topic this evening will be the intersection of poverty and the environment.
Our Annual Meeting is also a great opportunity for us to chart our path for moving our organization forward in the coming year. Susan Soleil of Utah Interfaith Power and Light has offered to facilitate our discussion. We need the insights of as many members as possible, so please try to attend.
Attendees are invited to bring a light dish to share, as well as their own reusable plates and utensils.
Please RSVP on Facebook or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we know how many to expect. Thanks!
