Exploring the gospel principles of earth stewardship

Call for Nominations

One of the best ways to learn about earth stewardship is getting to know the people who take seriously their responsibility of being stewards of the earth. Karl Jarvis has been doing an excellent series of interviews highlighting different stewards in action. But we know that there are many, many more of you who are doing wonderful and exemplary things in your homes, neighborhoods, and communities. So tell us who you are and what you are doing. Or tell us about someone else you know.

At our annual fall meeting this year on October 26th, we would like to recognize an “LDS Earth Steward of the Year.” So nominate that person in your ward who is doing something fantastic so we will all be inspired to do better. You may even nominate yourself. Just tell us who to consider and why they are exemplary earth stewards.

You may submit your nominations in the comment section below, on the facebook post that links to this story, or by emailing the LDS Earth Stewardship secretary, Rachel Whipple, at denebug@gmail.com. We will accept nominations no later than October 18th, so you have 10 days to mull it over.
