A Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship podcast is coming soon! We are seeking several volunteers to join the team:
HOSTS
We’re looking for two enthusiastic volunteer co-hosts (one male and one female) to bring their passion, curiosity, and interpersonal skills to our growing LDSES podcast. This team will collaborate to guide conversations, interview guests, and illuminate stories that inspire understanding and action.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Co-host the LDSES video and audio podcast alongside your counterpart.
- Prepare for and conduct insightful, warm, and welcoming interview sessions with a range of guests — church members, community innovators, policy makers, and other stakeholders in earth stewardship.
- Develop and contribute to a set of thoughtful, purposeful questions for each episode.
- Provide clear, factual, and faith-informed perspectives that align with the LDSES mission.
- Help promote the podcast through social media, blogs, or related media outlets.
- Perform additional related tasks typically associated with a media host (researching guests, scripting introductions, participating in team meetings).
- Support and reflect the LDSES’ four pillars — Inspire Action, Educate, Build Community, and Inspire Awe and Wonder.
Requirements:
- Ability to speak with confidence and warmth in a studio setting.
- Willingness to learn proper microphone technique.
- Ability to connect with a range of people from different backgrounds.
- Support for the mission and values of Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship.
- Collaborative team spirit and enthusiasm for spreading a message of care for God’s creation.
Time Commitment:
About 3 hours per week (with additional time for occasional team meetings, promotions, or special recordings).
This is a volunteer, part-time opportunity — perfect for individuals who wish to make a meaningful contribution alongside their other commitments.

AUDIO/VIDEO EDITOR
We’re also looking for a volunteer Audio/Video Editor to help bring our stories to life and make our content more accessible and polished for our growing LDSES podcast. This person will collaborate closely with the team to produce high-caliber video and audio content while honoring the mission of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Edit both video and audio recordings for the LDSES podcast.
- Trim, cut, combine, and fine-tune recordings to create a clear, fluent, and engaging final product.
- Add lower-thirds, captions, and graphics (such as logos or show notes) to aid understanding and maximize engagement.
- Include thumbnails for YouTube and other social media promotions.
- Adjust audio levels, reduce background noise, and balance multiple audio sources.
- Format final video files for streaming services (Spotify, Apple Podcasts) and for YouTube.
- Provide suggestions for creative or technical improvements when appropriate.
- Collaborative team meetings (typically 1–2 hours/week) and flexible production hours (average 5 hours/week).
Requirements:
- Experience with audio and video-editing software (such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Audacity, or Riverside).
- Ability to manage multiple files, export to various formats, and produce a polished final product.
- Reliable and enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills.
- Support for the mission and values of Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship.
Time Commitment:
About 5 hours per week (with flexibility and variation depending on production schedules).
This is a volunteer, part-time opportunity — perfect for someone who wants to contribute their skills while honoring their other commitments.
